Parents/Guardians play a vital role in the operation of our program and as an organization with over 200 moving parts, it is difficult for a team of 5 administrators to adequately see to every aspect of the league. This is where we can use your help. Traditionally we have needed help with the items in the adjacent list so if you can help with any of these, please contact us with your level of commitment and desired role.

As a parent of 4 boys who participated in youth football, youth wrestling, and youth baseball please give yourself some grace with your children’s athletics. For 24 years, my wife and I dutifully carted them all over the midwest for tournaments, games, and events and we were exhausted.
We quickly learned that youth sports has become designed not so much for kids, but more for adults. Much of it leans into the idea that we aren’t doing enough for our kids: we’re not teaching them the right drills, they don’t have the right coach, we’re not buying them the right equipment, not placing them on the right team and on and on and on. It’s not hard to see that the youth sports economy is out of whack, that it’s gotten too busy, too expensive and too crazy (and don’t get me started on travel teams versus recreational teams.)
The good news about youth sports is that there’s always a stabilizing influence: the youth. Despite a lot of unnecessary spending and adult energy, the boys and girls on the field tend to have the right priorities. They want to have fun, and make friends. They’re happy if they do well, and sometimes sad if they don’t, but within 10 minutes on the drive home, they’ve forgotten the game and are begging you to stop somewhere for ice cream.
Let your kids have fun and be themselves; they will thank you for it.
